The National Curriculum Framework (NCF) for the Foundational Stage is created based on the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020’s vision and is the only NCF released till date out of the scheduled four. This foundational stage framework will support the implementation of the NEP 2020 vision. Across the schools, children between the ages of 3 and 8 are referred to in this foundational stage. According to NEP 2020, this is the first stage of the 5+3+3+4 curriculum and pedagogical restructuring of school education.
